This book is for web programmers who wish to take their web pages to a new level by incorporating databases into their web applications. Some basic knowledge of databases such as Access is assumed. The book is very clearly written and is packed with what all programmers look for in a good programming book, excellent code samples which you can use in your own future applications. Author John Kauffman will teach you how to install and configure ASP and ADO, work with recordsets, SQL, ADO, the various ASP commands and connections, databases and cookies, stored procedures, error handling, database performance, and more. What makes this book different is that it's been written by an experienced programmer who is also a teacher. John Kauffman has taught over a thousand students in classrooms and online courses over the past ten years. His teaching background quickly becomes evident once you begin reading his book. "Beginning ASP Databases" is an excellent must have book for all ASP developers looking to add database functionality to their web pages.
